Constitution Day is a U.S. holiday commemorating the ratification of the United States Constitution. It is officially observed on September 17, the anniversary of the Constitutional Convention's signing of the Constitution in 1787. Under the terms of the bill that created Constitution Day, all U.S. schools receiving federal funding must observe Constitution Day by including instruction related to the history of the U.S. Constitution.
